What is Golf Fitness?

Utilizing the Titleist Performance Institute evaluation, we evaluate your strength, stability, flexibility, balance, and coordination and identify how limitations in these areas affect your golf swing.  It is then that we can begin to instruct you on the proper types of exercises to address your specific deficits.

Injuries of the lower back, hips, knees, shoulders, elbows, and neck are very common in golf and can often affect everyday activities off the golf course. These issues should be assessed by a medical professional experienced in dealing with sport-related injuries and competent in creating a rehabilitation plan. A TPI-certified doctor of physical therapy is likely the best option for diagnosis, and will develop a progressive golf-specific rehabilitation program so you can return to pain-free golf.

How is Golf Fitness different than your ordinary workout?

The body is composed of many segments much like a chain.  Being able to identify which links in the chain are problematic as well as prescribing the appropriate exercise is crucial for enhancing your golf performance.  In addition, the golf swing places increased stress throughout the body increasing risk for injury.  By addressing deficits early and properly, you can greatly reduce this risk.

Each golfer’s program is individualized.  Depending on your time, goals, budget, access to equipment, and fitness level, we will design a program that meets your needs.
