Golf-Specific Rehabilitation

What is Golf-Specific Rehabilitation?

Golf-Specific Rehabilitation is a Physical Therapist directed program of hands on therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and golf-specific functional rehabilitation. We will work with your golf professional and physician to develop a personalized treatment plan. Our goal is to not only reduce pain that limits everyday function, but to return the patient to playing golf pain-free.

Who can benefit from Golf-Specific Rehab?

Anyone who is experiencing aches or pains during or after golf. Common injuries include low back pain, sciatica, cervical pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, hip pain, knee pain, and foot/ankle pain.

Who will you be working with?

Brian Adkins, MPT, CSCS, CGFI is an avid golfer who carries a single digit handicap. You will work directly with Brian who received his Masters in physical therapy and is also a Titleist Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

How is Golf-Specific Rehab different than ordinary rehabilitation?

In addition to physical therapy treatment, patients will undergo a physical screen process developed by the Titleist Performance Institute to identify deficits in the musculoskeletal and neurologic systems. We then develop a personalized program to help reduce stress to injured areas and to ultimately increase the body’s strength and coordination for improved physical performance.

How do you get started?

To schedule an appointment with Brian please call 513.745.9877. A physician referral is not needed, most major health insurances are accepted.
