Graduate Assistantship Program

Oxford Physical Therapy Centers is involved with post-graduate education by sponsoring the Oxford Physical Therapy Centers Graduate Assistantship Program. This program continues the education of the qualified certified athletic trainer in Post-Baccalaureate study. The student assistantship supports the activities in a number of settings.

The student will work with clinicians in an outpatient physical therapy setting to enhance clinical patient care skills, as well as assist and support the evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and functional progression of athletes in a local high school. The student will earn a Masters of Science degree in Exercise and Health Studies from Miami University.

The emphasis of the program is to enhance the skills of a certified athletic trainer by furthering their education and facilitating the responsibilities of evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. This is accomplished in party by following the Mission of Oxford Physical Therapy Centers and to demonstrate the commitment to education and advancing the profession.
