GAIT ANALYSIS

Oxford Physical Therapy offers a 3D Gait Analysis using RunDNA. 3D Gait Analysis is an advanced diagnostic tool used to evaluate the way you move. Unlike traditional gait analysis, which relies on visual assessment, 3D Gait Analysis captures detailed, three-dimensional data on your biomechanics. This technology uses multiple cameras and sensors to track the movement of your joints and limbs in real time, providing a precise and comprehensive picture of your gait.

This camera will examine every aspect of your movement pattern, from foot strike to hip alignment.

During your clinical evaluation, our physical therapists will observe your walking mechanics both with the naked eye and using specialized equipment, including treadmill analysis when appropriate.

The assessment evaluates multiple components of your gait cycle, including stride length, cadence, joint angles, and weight distribution. By analyzing these movement patterns, your PT can identify biomechanical abnormalities that may be contributing to pain, discomfort, or reduced mobility.

The analysis may be conducted on a treadmill or over ground, depending on your specific needs and comfort level.
